The First Charleston Liberty on the Rocks Event…

Chucktown TavernPlease join us for libations and liberty after the Bridge Run this Saturday, April 2nd. We’ll be meeting at the Chucktown Tavern (159 Market Street), out on the patio.

(As the moniker “Tavern” implies, there will be adult beverages for purchase.)

Be sure to find us on Facebook and help us spread the word.

Big Brother knows best.

“Progressives” recognize that some people will be irresponsible and cause damage by using firearms. They conclude the State must therefore prohibit everyone from access to firearms.
“Conservatives” recognize that some people will be irresponsible and cause damage by using drugs. They conclude the State must therfore prohibit everyone from access to drugs.
Libertarians reccognize that some people will be irresponsible and cause damage regardless of what the State does. They conclude the State’s prohibitions cause more harm than irresponsible indviduals.

Solving the Civil Union issue.

Get the government out of the marriage business altogether. As a Christian, I find it offensive that a marrage – a holy bond between a man and a woman, before God and performed in a holy place by a holy man – is not official until a low level government clerk grants the state’s approval. That is blasphemous.

April 4th Meetup Celebrates Two Years!

(drum roll please!) 2nd Anniversary Party – Up On The Roof!

“It’s the Terrible Two’s”

C’mon down for cake and let’s party and enjoy the NCAA championship game! The two best teams will be “duking” it out (okay, maybe not…), we will be celebrating our 2nd anniversary! Our very own fearless leader and Liberty Lover, Amanda Teresi, LOTR National President will lead us in a toast and maybe song (wink, wink).

Oh, and sure, we will probably have a few giveaways or opportunities for you to leave as a winner (or a whiner) SUCH AS a pair of VIP tickets to see Sarah Palin, May 2, in a Tribute to the Troops, thanks to our friends at the Centennial Institute and Colorado Christian University.

Last year we had 80 Liberty Lovers come out to celebrate (and hear our stereo speaker blow out!) Let’s come together to give ourselves a pat on the back for what we’re all doing to move Liberty forward, kick back, reminisce, and watch the game.

With a whole lotta luck, maybe we will even have some t-shirts with a new design, so bring plenty o’cash:) Be the coolest guy or gal at the rally when you sport and support Liberty with the best freedom fashion statement, the shirt on your back (and you better hold onto them because rumor has it, the President wants that as well!)

A new venue for a new war, everyone! It’s time to celebrate! We’ll be discussing that matter, of course. Other possible topics for debate or discussion: what should the US and Japanese governments be doing (if anything) for the on-going tragedy and victims of the tsunami? How could individuals or libertarians support the Middle East revolutions without supporting war? Is it the end of nuclear power as we know it? And can I shed enough pounds from my beer belly to convince the Average American that I don’t drink “too much” (pfft!)?

We’ll be having another blow-out bang blash at Aaron’s for April. So don’t feel compelled to fall over drunk at this event. But please attend in any case! Of course, deviates, reprobates and econ junkies are welcome! Be there or be a tax-sucking puritan.
