Liberty Drinks Boston’s Bake Sale Benefit for Bake Sales

Raise bake sale awareness! Support bake sale black markets!

As you may know our brave bureaucrats in Massachusetts were seeking to ban bake sales from public school related activities in an effort to target childhood obesity. Never fear because our noble MA House legislature later overturned the ban after widespread outrage. Thank you masters!

Still this is an indication of where the inclination of the MA legislature is, and likely the same bureaucrats will attempt to police what we eat in other ways, next time with more caution and stealth.

BAKE SALE DETAILS
So in an effort to show our support for bake sales and bakers everywhere, we are having a bake sale, or at least selling baked goods! DO NOT BRING FOOD, we will instead have order forms where we will be taking orders from liberty oriented baking & food companies and raising money for liberty groups.

LOTR Happy Hour: Discussing Political Authority w/ Prof. Huemer of CU Boulder

Join us this Wednesday for another Liberty on the Rocks Denver happy hour!

social contract

RSVP on Facebook

The theme for this week’s event is political authority. Where does political authority come from? By what mechanism does the Constitution bind us all? Can we as individuals morally say “no” to government officials? Why do people view an IRS agent collecting taxes differently than extortion from the mafia? Philosophy Professor Michael Huemer of CU-Boulder will address these issues of political authority and the many problems with social contract theory this Wednesday at Choppers Sports Bar and Grill in Cherry Creek.

We will kick things off at 6:30 with another liberty speak out contest to see who gets to wear the crown! Anyone is welcome to participate and/or cheer on their favorite liberty advocate.

As always, we will meet in the back room of Choppers Sports Grill in Cherry Creek from 6-9pm. Join in anytime, and bring your friends!

*”Ask an Austrian” (AAA), is a continuing series to attempt to learn more about the basics of Austrian Economics. This segment will generally last from 5 – 15 minutes in duration, and on any given day might be an exercise, simple Q&A, or brief comments, and will be handled by an Austrian enthusiast when/if present. We would encourage our attendees to bring a pertinent article(s) to share with the group. Our hope is for a member(s) to step up and take on a position to implement AAA programming as a standard segment past our introductory year.
