Dinner with Ryan McMaken
The State vs Spontaneous Order: Anarchism and The ‘Wild’ West in Film and TV
Liberty on the Rocks is pleased to present author and professor Ryan McMaken on Friday, February 8th for a 2013 Fundraiser Dinner.
Join us for a fun night of cocktails, great company, fantastic home-cooked food, and a thought-provoking discussion that will leave you questioning what you’ve been taught your entire life – about the American Frontier and the possibilities of a free society.
Following a cocktail reception, dinner will be served at 7 pm while we hear briefly from co-founder Justin Longo of the Independence Institute on strategies for communicating the ideas of liberty. From there, we are pleased to welcome our featured presenter, Mr. Ryan McMaken of The Ludwig Von Mises Institute and LewRockwell.com. Mr. McMaken will present at 7:30 pm.

‘All in for Liberty’ Poker Tournament
What a successful event this was!
On Saturday, January 26, we were joined by over 20 liberty activists for a fun afternoon of poker, networking, and prizing winning! We had 5 winners total, random of course as is necessary according to state rules, with one gentlemen walking away with a bag full of liberty related books and another making out with $100 cash (after giving $50 back to LOTR as a donation!). Thanks to Brian Oschner and Justin Longo who made it all possible, and of course, to all of those who donated their time and money to spend an afternoon playing poker for liberty!
Overall, the Poker Game Fundraiser was able to raise nearly $500! Meaning we are on our way to funding that educational conference this spring. If you missed it, be sure to get on our email list for updates on future events. Or, consider attending the upcoming event with Ryan McMaken this Friday, February 8!
