LOTR Fundraiser to Support Free Market Education

As a nationwide social networking organization, Liberty on the Rocks is in the unique position of having access to a growing number of individuals throughout the country.  Attendants include Republicans, Libertarians, Objectivists, moderates, independents and some Democrats, who each share the goal of promoting limited government, free markets and individual rights. However, many are still in need of educational resources and outlets to successfully promote the free market message, and Liberty on the Rocks aims to help in that regard.

The Free Market Education Project aims to raise $2,500.00 by the end of the year, to distribute 750 educational materials to activists and enthusiasts across the country. Through local Liberty on the Rocks networks, chapter organizers will distribute copies of The Great Myths of the Great Depression by Lawrence Reed; The Rise of Government and Decline of Morality by James Dorn; Ayn Rand samplers; copies of The Law by Frederic Bastiat; and brochures and fliers from think tanks and organizations throughout the nation.

Anyone can donate by purchasing a ticket to attend our 2011 Christmas Party at the Colorado Automobile Dealers Association in Denver, or by simply clicking on the “Donate” button at the top of our website.

With an upcoming political year ahead of us it is vital for defenders of freedom to maintain a basic understanding of why and how a free economy works. Materials and resources distributed through local Liberty on the Rocks networks will help in this endeavor by offering educational outlets and accessible information regarding free market economics.

Liberty on the Rocks is a 501(c)(3) social networking organization, whose mission is to unite, activate and educate liberty-minded individuals throughout the country through local social networks. Acting as a catalyst, or pipeline, LOTR networks help to generate an increased awareness of local and national free market think tanks, organizations, research and opportunities. Through lively social environments, liberty enthusiasts and activists are acquainted with representatives and leaders of public policy organizations, grassroots groups, opinion makers and opportunities to become active in the political process. These connections lead to increased involvement in the liberty movement and help create an engaged base of concerned and informed citizens ready to promote free market ideas.
