11am in the Amphitheater (take down elevator to B and see signs for Amphitheater)
How can the liberty community break new barriers in the effectiveness of liberty activism and find freedom in an unfree world? How do we put the RevoLution into Overdrive? One answer must be to help liberty activists break through limiting beliefs, become better communicators and live up to the principles they espouse.

Join us at the Liberty Forum, Saturday February 25, to share ideas and learn about others’ breakthrough experiences and how they might apply to helping us all achieve liberty in your lifetime. This discussion will present ideas and action plans to help amplify liberty activists.

THIS EVENT IS PART OF THE FREE-FOR-ALL, UNCONFERENCE AT LIBERTY FORUM. THE TIME & VENUE WILL BE ANNOUNCED FRIDAY FEB 24 ON THIS PAGE OR ON THE EVENT SCHEDULE AT THAT TIME OR SEE http://boston.libertyontherocks.org FOR UPDATES. WE WILL AIM FOR A 2 HOUR SESSION IF POSSIBLE AND BASED ON INTEREST.

THE IDEA

Several liberty folks who place value in personal development programs have discussed the idea of applying some of the lessons learned to the liberty cause. *Some* aspects of these programs could be very beneficial to the FSP & liberty movement. It is clear there is not one path that everyone should take. However can we use personal development tools in a way that provides value to the FSP/liberty movement and how to best spread these kinds of lessons within the movement? This will be an open discussion/roundtable at Liberty Forum on this very topic and we are seeking a few panelists to help lead the discussion but invite audience participation. If you are interested in being a panelists, please let us know.

We plan to have participants from different backgrounds and proponents of programs like:

>NVC / Non violent communication
>Landmark education
>Freedomain radio community
>Dale Carnegie
>Nathaniel Branden
>Sterling Institute
>etc.

Not saying any of the above are good or bad (though I know some liberty activists who are proponents of these programs) but I think it would be useful for people to know the kinds of things out there. The panelists will talk about how those programs could be used to inspire and build interpersonal skills to make liberty activism more effective. We hope to allow some breakoff sessions for more specific introductions into some of the programs explored in the roundtable. I should add and stress, the idea is not to reinvent the wheel, but harness all the amazing resources & people that are already out there towards the goal of more liberty and freedom.

If this event is a success we hope the event will encourage future similar events and activities.

LOGISTICS

So this event would be part of Saturday’s schedule where there is a session called ‘free for all’… an unconference within the Liberty Forum.
