Washington, DC consulting firm is seeking a finance associate with a detailed knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles. Candidate should have an understanding of automated financial and accounting reporting systems, as well as the ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections. A working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting is imperative.
Manage the all financial processes and operations, to include tracking expenditures of several different entities operated by firm. Develop and maintain accountability reports which demonstrate firm’s spending by category, location, and entity.
- Work alongside partners for budget forecasting and adherence. Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.
- Communicate regularly with firm’s outside accountant and bookkeeper to ensure integration and accuracy.
- Oversee contributions and grant-making process, to maintain compliance, record-keeping, and reports.
- Work on special projects as needed.
The fast-paced atmosphere requires a detail-oriented, self reliant professional with solid written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task. Bachelor’s degree in relevant field mandatory, prior experience not necessary.
