The Charles Koch Institute seeks a Marketing Manager with a special focus on social media to join its communications team. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for creating, executing, and measuring marketing strategies that effectively reach the goals of the organization and its various projects, including the Institute’s professional educational programs and the Economic Freedom Project (www.economicfreedom.org). The Marketing Manager will work to create innovative program strategies that produce superior results.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Identify gaps in existing marketing strategies and develop plans for improvement
•Proven success in new strategy implementation
•Develop relationships with various external marketing vendors
•Manage and coordinate marketing staff and activities
•Conduct market research to determine market requirements for existing and future products
•Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values.
•Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments.
•Provide staff with daily guidance and feedback
•Bachelor’s degree, 5-7 years of social media experience preferred
•Solid understanding of and passion for economic freedom
•Pevious experience supervising and mentoring staff
•Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third parties.
•Ability to deliver on tight deadlines
•Can work autonomously and within a team
•Entrepreneurial spirit, humility, and a high sense of urgency
•Detail-oriented with strong prioritizing and decision-making skills in a deadline-driven environment
•Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills; quick learner capable of applying new tools and techniques
