Activist members of Liberty on the Rocks took a drive to Boulder to find out where Senator Michael Bennett of Colorado stands on the issue of “card check”. Neither Bennett nor his campaign staff was able to answer whether or not he would support private elections when organizing unions in the workplace.
If you are a public school teacher, or know someone who is, please read this important message:
Did you know that all full-time teachers who belong to the Colorado Education Association (CEA) automatically have a $39 political contribution collected with their dues? Did you know that teachers who belong to many CEA locals (including Jeffco, Denver, Adams 12, Pueblo, Boulder, St. Vrain, Poudre, Mesa Valley) have an additional political contribution as much as $24 collected with their dues?
Did you know that teachers who do not want their money going to union politics have the opportunity to request one or both refunds, but only if they do so by December 15?
The Independence Institute has made all the necessary information available at http://IndependentTeachers.org – Like all citizens, teachers have a right to know and decide how their money is spent on political activities.
